Newsletter February 2016

Changes to Facebook site

You may be aware that ETA Facebook is changing from being a closed site to being one for ETA members only. The security of the site and our service to members are primary concerns for the ETA.  The Facebook group had grown to more than double the size of the ETA and ETA staff have been giving a great deal of their time and their care monitoring the quality of material on the site and correcting any misconceptions posted there. So the decision was made by the Executive to direct staff time more appropriately to the benefit of members.

Main postings will occur on the ETA Facebook page and members can share resources through their various groups (Extension 1&2, Leadership, English Studies).
So if
  • your Facebook name is different from your own name or
  • you are a member through your faculty only
please email the office with the information on this form to ensure that you are not removed from the group.

The BoSTES has announced that in the HSC examination paper all the texts have been put in one booklet and the questions in another booklet. This means that students will be able to refer to the different texts without having to flip backwards and forwards through the exam paper as they have in previous exams.  Note that here the papers have been published as one pdf document but the students will get two booklets.
