The Executive

The Executive functions as a board of directors. Their interest is in the governance and operations of the association. The Executive takes on the statutory responsibilities pertaining to the association and involve themselves with such processes as:

  • Monitoring and documenting professional standards in accordance with Teacher Institutes' requirements
  • Developing and implementing a media strategy
  • Strengthening relationships with members
  • Developing a solid financial base.

Committees of interested members

Committees are teachers who work in their area of interest. Committee work allows teachers to exchange ideas with others from different systems, sectors and contexts of education. There are five committees:  Curriculum and Assessment, Professional Learning, mETAphor, Publications and Web and Technology. Committees meet according to the requirements of their particular projects. Discussions may be in person or online.
